The Jewish cemetery in Kirchohsen , a district of Emmerthal in the Hameln-Pyrmont district in Lower Saxony , served as a burial place for the villages of Kirchohsen, Hagenohsen and Emmern.

The cemetery area is an elongated piece of land on the banks of the Weser . It is located on an embankment along an old quarry stone wall of the former domain. None of the original holdings of around 20 tombstones have survived.

The cemetery is first documented in 1824 and has been in the possession of the Jewish community in Kirchohsen since around 1860. The last burial took place in 1936. The last Jewish residents had left Kirchohsen around 1938. There are different accounts of the destruction of the cemetery, which happened in 1939 at the latest.

After the Second World War , the cemetery was not restored. It has not had a stone since around 1960. In 2001, the Emmerthal community reimbursed the cemetery area to the regional association of Jewish communities in Lower Saxony . In 2001 a memorial plaque was erected to commemorate the cemetery and the local Jewish community.
