The Merenberg Jewish cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Merenberg in the Limburg-Weilburg district in Central Hesse . The cemetery is a protected cultural monument and is located on an open stream on the edge of the industrial area.

history

The Jewish cemetery in Merenberg was probably laid out in the 19th century and served as a burial place for the Jewish residents living in the village. These belonged to the Jewish community in Weilburg . In the 10.89 ares large cemetery there are still 10 tombstones ( mazewot ) and the last burial took place around 1934.
