history
The Jewish cemetery in Hadamar consists of two parts. During the Second World War , makeshift shelters were built on the old part, using the tombstones ( mazewot ) as foundations.
In the newer part there are still about 30 tombstones today. Most of them no longer have any inscriptions.
Commemoration
In 1970, a memorial "in memory of the Jewish inhabitants of Hadamar" was erected in the cemetery, "who perished in the tyranny between 1933 and 1945".
