The Jewish war memorial in the Jewish cemetery in Aub , a town in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg , was erected after the First World War . The war memorial , like the entire cemetery, is a protected cultural monument .

The monument was built in honor of the First World War fallen soldiers from the Jewish community Aub built. The names of the four fallen Jewish community members are listed under the soldiers' symbols, steel helmets and swords :

Ludwig Heimann 5th IR born Found May 9, 1893 4th Nov 1914 near Hollebeke (Belgium)

Oskar Oppenheimer 9th IR born March 11, 1891 presumably September 15, 1916 on the Somme (France)

Emil Oppenheimer 22nd IR born Found 6 Dec. 1880. October 25, 1916 near Schela (Romania)

Hugo Mannheimer 17th IR born 13 Aug 1880 found. June 9, 1917 at Tourcoing (France)

Below it says: The isr. Religious community Hero sons .

The upper edge of the monument is decorated with a laurel branch and the Star of David . A laurel wreath with a sword can be seen on the base .
