Juerg Steiner

Jürg Steiner (born April 13, 1950 in Zurich ) is a Swiss architect , exhibition, product and lighting designer. From 2000 to 2015 he was a university professor for exhibition and trade fair design at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Life

Jürg Steiner learned the profession of theater technician in Munich , Geneva and Berlin . In 1977 he passed his theater master's examination and was then technical director at various theaters in Berlin.

In 1980 Steiner started working as a freelance exhibition and lighting designer. He has realized exhibitions, art and sales exhibitions in the orangery of Charlottenburg Palace , in the Martin-Gropius-Bau , at the Berlin State Museums , in Europe and overseas.

In 1981 he successfully passed the examination to become an officially qualified lighting master.

In 2000, he was appointed professor at the chair for exhibition and trade fair design in the communication design course at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .
