Jürgen Dommerich is a former German ski jumper who started for the German Democratic Republic .

Life

Dommerich, who came to SC Motor Zella-Mehlis from Benneckenstein , set the first hill record on March 21, 1969 with 137 meters on the newly opened Letalnica bratov Gorišek in Planica . Also in 1969 he won the GDR championship ahead of Bernd Karwofsky and Peter Lesser . In December he started at the Four Hills Tournament 1969/70 . In Oberstdorf he jumped to 26th place. In Innsbruck , he achieved the best place on the tour with 24th place. In Bischofshofen it was only enough for 39th place. Dommerich was awarded the title “ Master of Sports ”.

After his active career Dommerich worked as a trainer at WSV Benneckenstein.
