Jürgen Halper (born November 17, 1974 ) is a former Austrian football player and now coach .

Career

Halper began his career in the junior division of SV Oberwart . After several changes, where he belonged to his hometown club ASKÖ Rotenturm and the Burgenland Football Academy on a cooperation basis , he finally moved to the second division club SV Oberwart in the summer of 1993. In the 1995/96 season he had to relegate to the regional league with the Oberwartern . In January 1997 he moved to the Bundesliga club SCN Admira / Wacker . In the 1996/97 season he played ten games in the Bundesliga . For the 1997/98 season he moved to the second division TSV Hartberg . With the Hartbergers Halper had to relegate to the regional league that season. In the summer of 1998 he joined the second division club SV Braunau . For the 1999/2000 season he returned to SV Oberwart, which is now fourth-class. In the summer of 2000 he joined the regional division SC Eisenstadt . After further regional league positions at SV Hundsheim , Floridsdorfer AC and DSV Fortuna 05 , he moved to ASK Kohfidisch . This was followed by further positions with the second combat team of SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 , with his youth club Rotenturm and with FC Deutschkreutz .

Halper started his coaching career in 2007 as a player-coach at SV Stuben in the fifth-class II. League South , where he was a regular from the start. With the team, he ranked twelfth of 16 places in the table in the final ranking of the 2007/08 season. In 24 of 28 possible league games and seven goals scored, Halper and his team reached the 7th of 15 places in the final table in the 2008/09 season. In the 2009/10 season he was able to surpass this performance again and sat himself in 26 of the 28 championship games, where he scored eleven goals and he finished with the team in fourth place in the league 15. After the league had only 14 participating teams in the following season 2010/11, Jürgen Halper and his team were able to defend fourth place in the table and ended the season there. Halper himself sat in 20 of the 26 possible league games, where he contributed six hits. The 2011/12 season, in which Halper led the team to sixth place, was similar. Here he used himself in 19 of the 26 championship games and scored four goals. In the 2012/13 season there was finally a change. After he had only made six appearances up to the 13th round, of which he basically never played through, he resigned his coaching position from the 14th round of the championship to Roland Laschober. He then left the club in order to devote himself entirely to his previously parallel activities in the junior division of the Floridsdorfer AC .

As early as the following January 2013, he returned his player pass to his home club ASKÖ Rotenturm , where he had played 13 league games in the sixth class 1st class South by the end of the 2012/13 season . In his debut game on March 17, 2013, a 4-1 home win over SV Sankt Michael im Burgenland , Halper was used for the full game and contributed two hits. At the end of the season, the team ranked third of 17 places in the table and had remained unbeaten in 15 of the 16 league games since Halper's move to the club. Subsequently, he left his home club and was introduced at the beginning of the 2013/14 season as coach of the regional league club SV Neuberg . After he was represented with the team in the middle of the table up to the 23rd championship round, Halper was dismissed in April 2014. In addition to his coaching activity in the club, he completed two championship games for the second combat team of SV Neuberg in the sixth class 1st League South and was still a member of the youth coaching staff of the Floridsdorfer AC.

In July 2014 he became assistant coach of the professional team at Floridsdorfer AC, where he had been a junior coach since 2011. Before that, he had already canceled SV Oberwart , who was also looking for a coach. He then put his player pass back at his home club ASKÖ Rotenturm , but was not used in any championship game. In August 2015 he was replaced as assistant coach by Thomas Flögel after Peter Pacult was hired as head coach. After he had devoted himself again to the club's own offspring, he became the head coach of the Floridsdorfer himself in January 2016. At the beginning of December 2016, Halper was dismissed after his team was ranked ninth after 20 games with 17 points and thus on a relegation zone. During the 2015/16 season he played a single championship game for his home club ASKÖ Rotenturm ; no more missions this season followed.
