Jürgen Hinrichs (born November 18, 1927 in Rostock ; † March 30, 2014 in Meiningen ) was a functionary of the GDR - block party National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD). He was chairman of the NDPD district committee in Suhl .

Life

Hinrichs was a teacher, studied economics and graduated with a degree in economics. From 1949 he was a member of the NDPD. He worked as a teacher at a state party school and later at the central party school of the NDPD in Waldsieversdorf . From 1961 he was secretary and from January 1984 to 1989 - as successor to Helmut Grunow - chairman of the NDPD district executive committee in Suhl. From 1987 to 1990 he was also a member of the main committee of the NDPD.

From 1971 he was a member of the Suhl district assembly and deputy chairman of the permanent construction commission of the district assembly . In October 1977 he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze and in October 1987 in silver.

Hinrichs had been with Jutta Hinrichs since 1958. Clemen married and widowed since 2010. He had three daughters and one grandson.
