Jürgen Lossau

Jürgen Lossau (* 1960 in Wolfenbüttel ) is a German television producer, editor, author and journalist.

Life

Lossau's television production, aktion.tv , which has been in operation in Hamburg since 1987, works primarily for NDR , ZDF and MDR . 1997 lossau.tv was founded in Wolfenbüttel. The company moved to the Wolfenbüttel cultural station in 2006. Since 1999 Lossau has been working with befife , the Neue Berliner Film- und Fernsehmanufaktur GmbH, also in Berlin.

His best-known self-made films include The Rollei-Click, stories from a photo brand from 1998, as well as Six Ladies from the Grill (2006) about a lively Wolfenbüttel food truck group that consists only of women. For many years Lossau produced the spots for the ZDF program The Great Price . From 1995 to 1999 Lossau designed and produced the ARD-Ratgeber: Mode with 25 episodes for the first German television on behalf of the Saarländischer Rundfunk SR .

His film Six People and a Bottle about the Wolfenbüttel spirits brand Jägermeister received second prize in the medium-sized journalist competition in 2003.

In his film installations stadtflimmern , 50 to 100 Super 8 projectors are used to relive the history of a region with film strips from the 1970s. Such installations have so far taken place in Hamburg, Berlin, Nuremberg, Hanover and Wolfenbüttel.

As a specialist journalist for business and consumer topics, Lossau worked for the ARD-Ratgeber Technik (his book Mehr Sicherheit für Ihr Kind was published by Heel Verlag in 2004 as a cooperation with ARD), for the political magazines Panorama (NDR) and Fakt (MDR) as well as for Spiegel -TV ( RTL ).

Since 2004 Lossau was also editor-in-chief of the magazine Schmalfilm , in 2005 he founded the English-language edition Smallformat . Both magazines were published by the Berlin specialist publisher Schiele & Schön until 2013 . Lossau is the author of specialist books with a catalog section, film cameras (2000), the film camera catalog (2003) and film projectors (2005).

In 2009 Lossau developed the concept for the film magazine Zoom - Das Magazin der Filemacher , which is aimed at experienced amateurs, students and professionals. It was published six times a year from August 2009 to April 2014. Lossau founded the photo magazine camera in 2012 , which was published until April 2016. His magazine Camerawoman appeared in 4 issues in 2015/16.

In 2017 Lossau founded the web platform www.super8.tv, financed by a successful crowdfunding project at Kickstarter. Articles and films on the subject of cine films appear there. In the same year he opened the only German specialty store that specializes in analog photography and filming under the name click & surr in Berlin. The shop is located in an old slaughterhouse from 1880.
