Jürgen Rödel

Jürgen Rödel (born September 17, 1958 in Hof (Saale) ) is a German materials scientist and professor at the Technical University of Darmstadt .

Life

Rödel studied materials science in Erlangen and ceramics in Leeds from 1977 to 1983. In 1988 he received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of California, Berkeley ( USA ). Finally, in 1992, he completed his habilitation in materials science at the TU Hamburg-Harburg . Since 1994 he has been professor for non-metallic-inorganic materials at the TU Darmstadt .

From January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2016, he was Vice President for Research at TU Darmstadt.
