Jens Carstens
Jens Carstens (born April 29, 1971 in Radevormwald ) is a German drummer , composer , producer and children's book author .
Life
Jens Carstens began playing the drums and piano at the age of seven. He attended the popular music course at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . Carstens founded the band Public Park with guitarist Jörg Sander and other friends in 1991 , whose producer was Franz Plasa , and from 1994 was under contract with Sony-Musik. From 1992 to 2000 he played in his band Disco , which was renamed Yellowide .
Carstens is active as a drummer, composer and producer of rock and pop music. He has worked for a-ha , Rolf Zuckowski , Rosenstolz , Udo Lindenberg , Heinz Rudolf Kunze (since 2002, together with Jörg Sander and Leo Schmidthals ), Michy Reincke (since 1994), Selig , Helene Fischer , Patricia Kaas , Kira , Lukas Hilbert , Ten Tenors , Howard Carpendale , Tony Christie and Roger Whittaker .
With “Quentin Qualle. The moray has migraine ” Carstens made his debut as a children's book author together with Heinz Rudolf Kunze in June 2014; he is also involved in the radio play of the same name as co-producer and composer. Volume 2 “Quentin Qualle. Rock am Riff ” - the book text, the song compositions on the enclosed CD and their production are by Jens Carstens. Volume 3 "Quentin Qualle - Halligalli bei Zirkus Koralli" followed in summer 2015 with a CD of songs (5 tracks).
