Jürgen Roth-Lebenstedt
Jürgen Roth-Lebenstedt (born October 22, 1962 in Wittlich ) is a former German soccer player and current coach.
The 1.86 m tall goalkeeper started his sporting career at SV Wittlich , where he played until 1984. In the summer of 1984 he moved to Eintracht Trier , where he was under contract for nine years. In 1988 and 1989 he was German amateur champion with the Moselle townspeople and in 1987 and 1993 champions of the Oberliga Südwest . In 1993 he moved to FSV Salmrohr , where he was active for three seasons. Due to a serious knee injury, Jürgen Roth-Lebenstedt had to end his career and switched to coaching. He has been working as a trainer since 1996, initially looking after SV Wittlich for two years and then taking on the position of trainer at TuS Koblenz for four years . From 2004 to 2006 he worked again for his former club Eintracht Trier. Jürgen Roth-Lebenstedt is in possession of the Trainer A Certificate.
In the regional league game of FSV Salmrohr at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen on February 25, 1996, Roth-Lebenstedt scored the 3-1 winning goal with a tee shot from 80 meters, which was voted goal of the month at the ARD sports show. In the draw for the "Goal of the Year 1996", this goal took an impressive 3rd place out of a total of 12 places to be awarded. Oliver Bierhoff scored the goal of the year 1996 with his "Golden Goal" at the European Championship final against the Czech Republic in England in 1996.
