Jürgen Stackmann

Jürgen Stackmann (born September 12, 1961 in Buxtehude ) is a German marketing expert and automotive manager.

Life

Jürgen Stackmann comes from a family of merchants who own the Stackmann department store in Buxtehude , on the outskirts of Hamburg . After graduating from high school in 1981, he did an apprenticeship as a banker at the Vereins- und Westbank in Hamburg. Stackmann studied business administration and marketing at the Saarland University for Technology and Economics and the University of Metz . He graduated with a double degree in business administration and marketing.

In 1989 he began his career as a zone manager at Ford-Werke AG in Cologne. He then held various positions in product marketing before becoming Operations Manager for European Regional Sales. In 1998 he was appointed sales manager for West Germany. In 1999, Stackmann became Marketing Director of Ford Germany before being appointed Vice President Marketing at Ford of Europe in 2005. In 2006 he became Managing Director for Sales and Marketing at Ford Germany before being named Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.

In July 2010, Stackmann moved to the Volkswagen Group . From September he became a member of the Board of Management for Sales, Marketing and Service at ŠKODA-AUTO AS. Stackmann is also a member of the supervisory boards of the following companies: ŠKODA-AUTO India PL, Volkswagen Group France, ŠKODA-AUTO Slovenska and Volkswagen Group Polska. From September 2012 he was Head of Marketing at the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Car Division.

In May 2013, Jürgen Stackmann became CEO of SEAT . On November 1, 2015, Stackmann was appointed Board Member for Sales, Marketing and After Sales at Volkswagen Passenger Cars.

Private

Jürgen Stackmann is married and has two sons and two daughters.
