Jürgen Weineck

Jürgen Weineck (* 1941 in Munich ; † February 23, 2020 ) was a German sports scientist and book author.

Life

Weineck completed a degree in sports philology (sports / Romance studies) in Munich, Lyon and Strasbourg between 1961 and 1966 , which he completed with the first state examination for higher education. He spent his legal traineeship in Nuremberg and Nördlingen . In 1978 Weineck completed a medical degree with a license to practice medicine and a doctorate. In 1993 he completed his habilitation in sports science and was appointed professor in 1999. He was a lecturer from 1969 to 1999 and then professor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg until 2006 . He wrote books on sports science topics .
