JD Walter
JD Walter (born July 2, 1967 in Philadelphia ) is an American jazz singer.
Walter sang in the American Boychoir as a child . He studied jazz singing at the University of North Texas from 1985 to 1993 . From 1993 to 1994 he was a student of Deborah Brown at the Amsterdam Conservatory . After returning to the United States, he lived in New York and Texas. In the early 2000s he studied at the University of Philadelphia.
In 1997 Walter recorded his first album, which was followed by more; he writes and composes many of his own titles. He has also given courses in Moscow, at the Sibelius Academy in Finland and at the University of North Texas, and has appeared on radio, television and jazz festivals in the USA and Europe.
