John Archibald "Jack" Cameron (born December 3, 1902 in Ottawa , Ontario , † December 29, 1981 in Danville , Virginia , USA ) was a Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper . At the Olympic Winter Games in 1924 , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
Jack Cameron began his career as a hockey player with St. Andrew College Juniors, for which he was active in the 1921/22 season. The goalkeeper then moved to the Toronto Granites , with whom he immediately won the Allan Cup , the Canadian amateur championship, in the 1922/23 season. With the Granites he represented Canada at the 1924 Winter Olympics. He later moved to the United States, where he died in 1981 at the age of 79.
International
For Canada , Cameron took part in the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix , where he won the gold medal with his team. During the entire tournament he only conceded one goal.
