Career

Jack Diment, who played in the position of the outside runner , was one of the many British people who played on the European continent at the beginning of the 20th century and helped football there to the popularity it already enjoyed in their homeland.

Diment played for Newcastle United in 1904 . Between 1905 and 1907 he ran for the Italian club Juventus Turin . In 1905 he was part of the team that won the first championship title in club history for the Turin club . Diment played as the left outer runner and formed the runner row together with the center runner Giovanni Goccione and the right Swiss outer runner Paul Arnold Walty .

In 1908 and 1909 Jack Diment played for local rivals Foot Ball Club Torino . In the 1909/10 season he ran for AC Milan .

During his time in Italy, Jack Diment was nicknamed "il mulo" ("the mule "). He was considered a tough, courageous and reliable guy who, although he didn't speak Italian , always followed his trainer's instructions faithfully. Off the pitch, he had a reputation for being a Don Giovanni .
