The Italian football championship in 1909 was the 12th Italian football championship , which was held by the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC).

From January 10 to March 14, 1909, the regional qualifying matches for the regions of Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont and Veneto took place.

The semi-finals, for which the winners of these regional competitions qualified, took place from February 21 to May 17, 1909 in a home and return leg.

The two winners of the semi-finals then played the Italian soccer champions 1909 again with a return game in the final.

Attendees

For the first time Inter Milan from Lombardy and SSC Venice from Veneto took part in the championship.
