The Italian Football Championship 1901 was the fourth Italian football championship to be held by the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC).

On April 13, 1901, the qualifying games of the first round took place, the semi-finals were played on April 28, 1901.

The final took place on May 5, 1901 in front of 300 spectators at the Campo Sportivo di Ponte Carrega in Genoa . This is where AC Milan and CFC Genoa met . AC Milan prevailed 3-0 in extra time, becoming Italian champions for the first time and being the first club to receive the new Fawcus Cup.
