John Glenn Doyle (* 5. May 1990 in Indianapolis , Indiana ) is an American American football poker players on the position of tight ends . He plays for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Doyle attended Western Kentucky University and played for their team, the Hilltoppers when tight end successful college football . Between 2009 and 2012 he played a total of 42 games, in which he could catch passes for 1769 yards and achieve 8 touchdowns .

NFL

Tennessee Titans

Doyle was not considered in the 2013 NFL Draft , but was then signed by the Tennessee Titans as a free agent . He went through all of the preparation, but did not make it into the active squad and was dismissed shortly before the start of the regular season .

Indianapolis Colts

Originally intended for the Titans Practice Squad , he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts . In his rookie season, Doyle was already featured in 15 games, four times as a starter.
Although he was mainly used as a blocker in 2014 , he was able to score his first two touchdowns as a professional. Also in 2015 and 2016 he proved to be a reliable tight end and ran in all parries, so in March 2017 he received a new three-year contract worth 19 million US dollars . He is worth it for the team with consistently good performances, for which he was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time .
In 2018 he was only able to play 6 games due to injury, in 2019 he was fit again, and as usual he performed consistently well. The Colts extended his contract early and Doyle was re-elected to the Pro Bowl.
