action

Part 1: The young archaeologist Jack actually only wants to photograph a stone tablet with a cuneiform script from the Mesopotamian metropolis of Ugarit . However, since he is captured, he steals her from a private museum in France. At first he refuses to accompany his mentor Professor Frederic "Freddie" Shaffer, who thinks the poem on the tablet is a treasure map, but changes his mind when he is killed while the tablet is stolen. The obvious suspect is the Syrian artifact dealer Ali, which is why Jack flies to Damascus. There he has to work with Nadia and her driver Tariq. During their treasure hunt, they are threatened by Albert Littman, among others.

Part 2: Pharaoh Akhenaten , who attacked Ugarit, stole the treasure and the second part of the scepter of light. Jack and his team search his grave to find the treasure and the scepter of light.

Part 3: The Romans have already found Akhenaten's grave, so Jack and his friends have to keep looking for the treasure and try to get the Scepter of Light back from Littmann and the Russians .

reception

The series has been described as an obvious low-budget copy of Indiana Jones. She is sarcastically rated on the Jumping Sharks website:

“Let me make it crystal clear - this is a completely original miniseries, in no way stealing anything at all from Indiana Jones. Nope. No siree. Well, maybe just a bit. Okay, maybe a bit more than a bit. Oh, alright - they basically copied Indiana Jones, right down to his trademarked hat. "

"Let me make it crystal clear - this is a totally original miniseries that in no way steals anything from Indiana Jones. No. Not a bit. Well, maybe just a little. Okay, maybe a little more than a little. Oh, all right - they basically copied Indiana Jones except for his hat as a trademark. "
