Jacob Batalon (born October 9, 1996 in Honolulu , Hawaii ) is an American actor of Filipino descent. He gained fame primarily through the role of Ned Leeds from several films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe .

Career

Jacob Batalon was born in Hawaii to Filipino parents. After school, he attended the Kapiolani Community College to music theory to study. He later moved to New York and took part in a two-year acting program at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts , where he made the decision to begin an acting career.

Jacob Batalon made his acting debut as Cooper in the film North Woods in 2016 . In 2017, he took on the role of Ned Leeds , the best friend of the title character Peter Parker, in the Marvel film Spider-Man: Homecoming . Since 2018 he has also appeared as Ned Leeds in Avengers: Infinity War , Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home .

It is often dubbed in German by Sebastian Fitzner .
