Days like these (Original title: Let It Snow ) is an American youth - Liesbes movie comedy from the year 2019 based on the novel by John Green , Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle based. The film tells the story of a group of high school students who are confronted with their friendships and romantic relationships. It was released on Netflix on November 8, 2019 .

On Christmas Eve in Laurel, Illinois, Julie Reyes runs into rising pop star Stuart Bale on a train. He thinks she is a paparazzi when she tries to give him back his cell phone, which offends her despite his apology. After the train had to stop due to snow-covered tracks, Julie got off to walk home. Stuart arrives and offers lunch at a local diner called Waffle Town. She reluctantly agrees and also saves Stuart from a group of fan girls who are cheerleaders. She tells Stuart that she was admitted to Columbia University in New York and that her mother is terminally ill, but if she leaves too late because of it, she will lose the scholarship. The couple go tobogganing and meet Julie's mother, Debbie. They go back to Julie's house, where Stuart is introduced to Julie's grandpa, and they talk about Mick Jagger. Everyone dances to one of their songs. While dancing, Debbie has a fit of coughing, which worries Julie. Stuart offers Julie to find a nurse for her mother, which Julie finds offensive. Stuart denies her concerns, saying he offered it because he was taking care of Julie. The two almost kiss before Stuart's publicist shows up to take him back to his hotel. Stuart asks Julie to come with him, but she refuses because she feels the need to stay with her mother.
Across town, Waffle Town worker Dorrie tries to get her best friend Addie under the hat; she is concerned that her boyfriend will break up with her. Dorrie fell in love with Kerry, a cheerleader. Kerry visits the restaurant with her friends, pretending not to know Dorrie. Addie makes a scene with her boyfriend at the diner. Dorrie tries to calm Addie down, but she storms off. Later, Dorrie and Kerry meet in the bathroom and kiss passionately. Dorrie tells Keon that Kerry will likely be at the party. Meanwhile, Tobin plans to let his best friend, Angie, nicknamed "The Duke," know that he likes her. The two are invited by Duke's friend JP to a party that Tobin sees as a competitor. The three of them steal the beer keg from the party and land their car in the ditch. They wait in a nearby church for the tow truck where Duke Tobin is playing "Whole of the Moon", but when JP and Duke start dancing, Tobin leaves. Duke tries to talk to Tobin about it, who pushes her away and annoys her.
Tobin's friend Keon tries to throw a party to impress a great DJ, but his parents stop the party at his house and are called to work in Waffle Town. His friend and colleague Billy suggests Waffle Town as a party location, provided he has the necessary supplies. Back home, Julie's mother persuades her to go to Columbia University and says, "If life has something special for you, take it." Everyone ends up at Keon's party after Tobin arrives with the stolen barrel. Duke comes and Tobin confesses his love for her, which she reciprocates. Addie returns to Waffle Town and apologizes to Dorrie for her rude behavior. Kerry apologizes to Dorrie for her hot and cold demeanor, kisses her outdoors, and the two begin a relationship. Dorrie and Julie talk about their day; Stuart returns because he wants to see Julie again before he leaves town. The two kiss and plan to meet in New York when Julie moves to Columbia. Keon's party turns out to be a success, even though the DJ no longer comes. Everyone is dancing all night long.

In September 2014, Universal Pictures acquired the film rights to the book Days Like This . On March 23, 2016, Luke Snellin was announced as the director of the film. In December 2018 it was announced that Netflix would take over production and release the film in 2019. The film was shot in February 2019 in Toronto and Millbrook .
