Odeya Rush
Odeya Rush ( Hebrew אודיה רש; * May 12, 1997 in Haifa as Odeya Rushinek ) is an Israeli - American actress . She was best known for her leading role in the 2014 film Keeper of Memory - The Giver , which earned her the Fresh Effects Breakout Star award at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards .
life and career
Rush was in Haifa ( Israel born). The name Odeya means "thank God" in Hebrew. When she was nine, her family moved to the United States so her father, Shlomo, could accept a job as a security advisor in Alabama. Rush is Jewish and attended the NE Miles Jewish Day School in Birmingham, Alabama . Later she lived in Midland Park ( New Jersey ), where he attended public school. In early 2013, Rush moved her family to Los Angeles . Rush has six brothers, two of whom are twins.
Rush starred in several short films and commercials. She also made guest appearances as Emily on the television series Leave It, Larry! subsequently Mister Softee and as Hannah Milner in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the episode Branded . She played Timothy's best friend Joni Jerome in the Disney film The Miraculous Life of Timothy Green , directed by Peter Hedges .
In May 2012, it was confirmed that Rush would play the role of Mary in Mary, Mother of the Christ . Joel Osteen is the production manager .
Rush played as Fiona one of the two leading roles in the science fiction film Keepers of Memory - The Giver (2014). This is based on the novel of the same name by Lois Lowry and was produced by Phillip Noyce . Also starring are Brenton Thwaites , Jeff Bridges , Meryl Streep , Katie Holmes , Alexander Skarsgård and Taylor Swift to see.
For the literary film adaptation of RL Stine's popular children's book series Goosebumps , Rush was again in front of the camera as the leading actress. The plot of the film is based, among other things, on the volume The Doll with the Staring Gaze . In it, the creepy book characters of a writer ( Jack Black ) come to life. Directed by Rob Letterman.
