Jacob Bertram

Peter Jacob Franz Bertram (born September 20, 1779 in Hachenburg , † June 26, 1857 in Wiesbaden ) was a wine merchant and politician in the Duchy of Nassau .

Life

Jacob Bertram was the son of Johann Albert Bertram (born March 8, 1734 in Hachenburg; † January 16, 1801 ibid) and his wife Anna Elisabeth, née Fischer. Bertram, who was a Catholic denomination, married Johanette Dorothea , née Rösgen (1780–1848) , on September 28, 1801 in Hachenburg . The sons Franz Bertram and Philipp Bertram emerged from the marriage.

Bertram was the owner of a wine shop in Hachenburg. Around 1822 he moved to Wiesbaden and took over the Zum Einhorn restaurant. In 1826 he moved to Biebrich and founded the Bertram wine shop there in 1827.

politics

In 1819 he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies of the Estates of the Duchy of Nassau in a by-election for Georg Buderus I from the group of traders . In 1822 he resigned and in 1823 Michael Diez was elected for him in a by-election. In 1832 he was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies. After the mandate was revoked, Daniel Düringer was elected in his place in a by-election.
