Jacob Marx (politician)

Jacob Marx (born August 12, 1926 in Mainz-Kastel ; † July 27, 1992 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

Jacob Marx did an apprenticeship as bricklayer after elementary school and studied at the Mainz State Building School. On April 20, 1944, at the age of 17, he was accepted into the NSDAP ( membership number 9.930.697). During the Second World War he served as a war volunteer and officer candidate in the Air Force and was wounded in 1945. After 1945 he worked as a site manager and office manager.

Jacob Marx was a co-founder of the Junge Union in Hessen, its deputy state chairman and from 1949 to 1954 the state manager of the JU. Marx joined the CDU and has been a member of the Groß-Gerau district council since 1952 , where he has been chairman of the CDU parliamentary group since 1956. From December 1, 1954 to November 30, 1962 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. In 1959 he was a member of the 3rd Federal Assembly .

After a self-inflicted car accident under the influence of alcohol with one fatality, he retired from state politics.
