The Jacobsberg , also known as " Jakobsberg ", is an approximately 200 meter high elevation in the southwest of the city of Wuppertal in the Cronenberg district .

topology

The Wupper runs at the western foot of the mountain, which belongs to the Burgholz state forest . On the left-hand side of the Wupper, the highway-like state road 74 (L 74) runs. In the south of the Jakobsberg lies the Cronenberg district of Kohlfurth , where the upgraded L 74 line ends. In the west, coming from the Cronenberg district, the state road 427 (L 427) runs, which winds in a serpentine manner around the Jacobsberg and then joins the L 74. A section of the L 427 is named as Straße Am Jacobsberg .

The elevation is part of the natural spatial unit Burgholzberge (order number 338.051).

Buildings

With the exception of a few houses in the Wahlert area on the edge of the L 427, the Jacobsberg is undeveloped and largely forested. In the north on the L 427, before it runs downhill, there is a parking lot that serves as a starting point for hikes.

The Bergisches Tram Museum is located in the Kohlfurtherbrücke district near the Jacobsberg .
