Jacqueline Rouvier (born October 26, 1949 in Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe ) is a former French ski racer . She was particularly successful in the downhill and giant slalom disciplines . She won a World Cup race and a bronze medal at the 1974 World Cup .

biography

Rouvier is one of those athletes who competed in races in the first World Cup season in 1967 . She got her first World Cup points on March 3rd, 1967 when she was tenth on the downhill from Sestriere . In the dominant French team of those years, she was initially not noticed. This changed from the 1970/71 season when she achieved several podium finishes. She celebrated her only World Cup victory on December 11, 1971 on the descent in Val-d'Isère .

The 1971/72 season had to end early due to injury, so that they missed the Winter Olympics in Sapporo . At the end of 1972 it established itself again at the top of the world. At the 1974 World Cup in St. Moritz , she won the bronze medal in the downhill. Also in the 1974/75 season she had to take a longer injury break. After the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , where she was sixth in the downhill and tenth in the giant slalom, she resigned.
