Jacques Bialski

Jacques Bialski (born October 3, 1929 in Dunkerque , Département Nord ; † June 10, 2013 ibid) was a French politician of the Parti Socialiste (PS) who was a member of the Senate for more than 18 years .

Life

Consisting of a 1921 from Poland coming immigrant family coming Bialski 1953 member of the French Section of the Workers' International (SFIO) and in 1966 secretary of the party organization in Dunkerque. After its merger with the Parti Radical Socialiste (PRS) to form the Parti Socialiste (PS) in July 1969, he became secretary of the PS in Dunkerque and held this position for twenty years until 1989.

1974 Bialski was elected for the PS as a member of the regional council of Nord-Pas-de-Calais . During this time he was Vice President of the Regional Council from 1981 to 1986 and as such was responsible for economic affairs. At the same time he was administrator of the Autonomous Port of Dunkerque from 1981 to 2001 and a member of the General Council of the North Department between 1982 and 1985 , where he represented the canton of Grande-Synthe .

On April 1, 1979, he was elected a member of the Senate and represented the North Department until July 2, 1997. During this he was from 1983 to 1995 one of the Quaestors ( Questeur ) of the Senate.

Bialski, which the Knight's Cross of the Legion of Honor was awarded and the member of the Freemasons - Grand Lodge Grand Orient de France , was served between 1989 and 2001 as Vice Mayor of Dunkerque and was responsible for finance, major projects and work as such. At the same time he was Vice-President of the Communauté Urbaine of Dunkerque from 1989 to 2001 and in this role was responsible for work, coordination of investments, tenders and markets.
