Teaching concept

The course is aimed equally at school leavers who are aiming for a professional entry into the respective industry, as well as at people who already have work experience and would like to pursue academic education as a part-time job. The majority of the course content is developed in self-study . In addition to specially prepared study books and additional practical phases, e-learning methods such as online lectures, online tutorials and web-based training are offered, which can be accessed via the university's own online campus. There is also a learning app.

In addition to the compulsory modules of general management and the subject-specific modules, students have the opportunity to take elective modules tailored to their interests. While the face-to-face seminars take place in Düsseldorf, face-to-face exams can also be taken in Essen, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Weil am Rhein and in the Stuttgart area. In addition to a classic six-semester variant, an eight-semester part-time variant is offered. You can choose to do internships or semesters abroad.

In cooperation with the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, the university offers the MBA degree in sports management . This qualification is also carried out as a distance learning course.

congress

Together with Stephan Geisler (sports scientist) , the university organizes the fitness science congress with the aim of bringing together serious scientists from the different departments and bringing them together under the heading of "fitness science".
