The RFH Neuss building on the market

The Rheinische Fachhochschule Neuss is a private university in Neuss . It was founded in 2009 as the Neuss University for International Business on the initiative of the city of Neuss, the IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein and the Neuss-Düsseldorfer Häfen , who wanted to set up an educational institution specializing in individual departments in the region.

In March 2015, the university applied for insolvency proceedings due to insolvency. The Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln announced its takeover on June 20, 2015. On June 20, 2015, the university was renamed Rheinische Fachhochschule Neuss .

Education

The RFH Neuss study model is based on the integration of academic and practical training. This is based on a concept that deals with company processes in a realistic manner, simulates them and promotes independent work in small seminar groups of a maximum of 30 students. The Rheinische Fachhochschule Neuss works with a network of well-known companies where their students complete the practical phases. Depending on the company, either IHK training in various commercial professions or a long-term internship is offered.

The University of Applied Sciences offers monthly information days or trial study days for prospective students.

Time models

  • The 3 + 2 time model provides for six semesters, three days of attendance at the university and two working days in the partner company. This scheme changes quarterly.
  • 3 + 3 model: every three months, the lecture phases in the technical college alternate with the practical phases in the company (block model).

courses

The courses offered at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln - Neuss location currently include dual and part-time Bachelor and Master courses in business, logistics, engineering and marketing:

  • Industrial Engineering (B.Eng)
  • Business Administration (BA)

Bachelor courses (part-time)
