Jacques Byck

Jacques Byck (* 19th October 1897 in Bucharest ; † 10. October 1964 ) was a Romanian linguist and Rumänist .

life and work

Byck studied in Bucharest and Paris. From 1940 to 1944 he was prohibited from publishing in Bucharest. From 1945 until his death he was professor of Romanian language at the University of Bucharest .
