Jacques Montéran

Jacques Montéran (born March 18, 1882 in Colombes , Seine department , † February 9, 1947 in Sézanne , Marne department ) was a French cameraman and film pioneer.

Montéran went to New York City for Pathé in 1910 . During the First World War he was wounded twice in the winter of 1914/15. From 1916 he worked with the director Albert Capellani on several films with the silent film star Clara Kimball Young .

His son is the cameraman Roger Montéran (1913–1968), his granddaughter the artist Nicole Montéran (* 1947).
