Jacqui McShee (born December 25, 1943 in London ) is a British folk singer.

McShee initially sang in various British folk clubs until she began working with John Renbourn in 1966 . In the following year she was one of the founding members of Pentangle , who were active until 1973. In 1984 the group was reorganized, remaining the only constant alongside Bert Jansch over the years .

In 1994 McShee began working on another project: together with her husband, drummer Gerry Conway , and keyboard player Spencer Cozens , she recorded the album About Thyme that same year , which reached the top of the British folk charts in 1995. Guest musicians featured on the album were Ralph McTell , Mike Mainieri , John Martyn and Albert Lee . Jerry Underwood and Alan Thompson soon joined the trio that was now called Jacqui McShee's Pentangle . The debut album Passe Avant was released in 1999 , followed by At the Little Theater (2000) and Feoffees' Lands (2005).

At the end of the nineties, together with Ulrich Maske, she released the two albums The Frog and the Mouse and The Cat and the Fiddle with English nursery rhymes, counting rhymes and stories for children. She has also released two albums with Christmas carols: Song of Joy and Silent Night (with Danny Thompson , Vic Abram, Vic and Tony Roberts).
