The Jadro is a river in Dalmatia , Croatia that flows through the small town of Solin .

Its source is located about 7 km northeast of the city of Split in the Mosor Mountains and is a karst source with a capacity of 3.5 to 60 m³ / s. The Diocletian Aqueduct , which supplied the Diocletian's Palace with water, begins at the source .

The length of the river is only 4 km, but the river offers a very abundant water supply for the surrounding towns and thus also supplies the towns of Split , Kaštela and Trogir with water. The people of Solin also call the river "Solinska rika".

The river is home to the endangered trout subspecies Jadra ( Salmothymus obtusirostris salonitana ).
