Jahnsgrün (Hartmannsdorf)
Jahnsgrün is a repopulated desert on the corridor of the Hartmannsdorf community in the Zwickau district .
Geographical location
Jahnsgrün is located in the Hartmannsdorfer Forest near Wettiner Platz on the Torfstrasse, which leads from Hartmannsdorf to Hundshübel . The two existing houses in the desert have been inhabited again since the early 2000s. In a broader sense, Jahnsgrün includes the peat master's house on the edge of the Jahnsgrün raised bog, a forester's house in the Hartmannsdorfer Forest and a former military facility on Sonnenbergweg in the direction of Lindenau used as a stud .
history
The place was probably a settlement with its own chapel. Politically and ecclesiastically, Jahnsgrün always belonged to Hartmannsdorf near Kirchberg. The current desert Jahnsgrün was in the Hartmannsdorfer Forest, the dominion forest of the Wiesenburg dominion . As early as 1464, Jahnsgrün was referred to as a desert. In 1959 shards , iron parts, charcoal and spindle whorls were found during excavations , which suggest an older settlement.
nature
The former high moor Jahnsgrün, in which peat was later extracted, belongs to Jahnsgrün .
