Jacob "Jake" McQuaide (born December 7, 1987 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American American football player on the position of long snappers . He plays for the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League (NFL).

college

McQuaide attended Ohio State University and played for their team, the Buckeyes , for three years as Long Snapper College Football . Initially only walk-on , he received a scholarship from the third year of study. He has received numerous awards, not only for his athletic but also for his academic achievements, and graduated as an aerospace engineer .

NFL

McQuaide was not considered in the 2011 NFL Draft , but was then signed as a free agent . In preparation he was able to prevail against the old hand Chris Massey , who had played 135 games for the Rams, and oust him from the team.
Since then, McQuade has been called up at every game of the Rams and executed every long snap of his team. For his consistently good performance, he was appointed to the Pro Bowl in both 2016 and 2017 .
In March 2018, he extended his contract for another three years.
