Jake West

Jake West (* 1972 ) is a British director, best known for his horror films Razor Blade Smile , Evil Aliens and Doghouse .

Life

Jake West has been working in the television and film industry since 1993. First he shot a few commercials, including for MTV Europe , VH-1 , the feature film Reservoir Dogs and various music videos. In 1994 he released the short film Club Death . In 1998 he made his feature film debut Razor Blade Smile . The vampire drama won several awards at B-film festivals. This was followed by the short film Whacked , which in turn won several festival awards.

From 2002 to 2005, West shot some documentaries about filmmakers in the B-movie genre such as Bruce Campbell , Doug Bradley and Don Coscarelli , including for a 4-DVD box release of the Tanz der Teufel series. The independent film Evil Aliens was released in 2005 and a television sequence for Pumpkinhead in 2006 .

In 2009 the film Doghouse followed with Danny Dyer and Stephen Graham .
