Jakob Nils Göran Börjesson (born October 1, 1976 in Mora ) is a Swedish biathlete .

Börjesson lives in Transtrand and works for LIMA SKG Östersund . The athlete, trained by Staffan Eklund , previously trained by Wolfgang Pichler , has been involved in biathlon since 1993 and has been a member of the Swedish national team since 2000. He made his international debut in 2001 in Jericho at the Military World Championships, where he was 40th in the sprint. In Lahti he made his World Cup debut a year later . In the sprint he reached a 73rd place, with the relay he was eleventh. He achieved his greatest success in individual at the next World Cup station in Östersund . After a 16th place in the individual and a 25th place in the sprint, he was 13th in the pursuit. The highlight of the season was the first participation in the biathlon world championships in Khanty-Mansiysk . Here he was 42nd in the singles and seventh in the season. Börjesson still had his bigger successes mostly in the Swedish season. At the beginning of the 2003/04 season he was third in the season with Carl Johan Bergman , Mattias Nilsson and Björn Ferry in Kontiolahti . At the end of the season, Börjesson again took part in the military world championships and was ninth in the patrol run in his home town of Östersund. The Swede achieved the greatest success of his career at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin . Here he just missed a medal with the Swedish relay as fourth.
