Jakob Jehle (master builder)
Jakob Jehle (* around 1715/1720 probably in Obenhausen ; † 1784 , son of a mercenary) was a builder and plasterer of Rococo in the service of the Carthusian Buxheim . His works include the parish church of St. Ulrich in Amendingen , which he built for the Buxheim Charterhouse. His work probably found recognition in the Charterhouse, which is why he also built the parish church of St. Gordian and Epimachus in Pless for them .
Other church buildings or participation in them are proven: the Mariahilf chapel in Ay an der Iller , the chapels in Nordholz , Dietershofen , Donaustetten and Mickhausen as well as the Catholic parish church of St. Vitus in Tafertshofen .
