Mickhausen is a municipality in the Swabian district of Augsburg and a member of the Stauden administrative community based in Langenneufnach .
geography
The community is located in the southwest of the Augsburg district in the middle of the perennials . The perennials form the main part of the Augsburg Western Forests Nature Park . The Schmutter flows through Mickhausen .

history
Until the church is planted
The Stolzhirsch patrician family from Augsburg were landlords here in the 13th and 14th centuries , followed by the Lords of Freiberg, who were landlords in the municipality from the 14th to the 16th centuries. The Counts Fugger owned the place and the castle from the 16th to 19th centuries. Since the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss of 1803, the area has belonged to the Electorate of Bavaria .
Population development
Between 1988 and 2018 the community grew from 1,108 to 1,418 by 310 inhabitants or 28%.
Incorporations
The current municipality of Mickhausen was created on May 1, 1978 in the course of the municipal reform when the municipalities of Münster and Grimoldsried , which had been independent since 1818 , were incorporated into Mickhausen. Parts of the dissolved community of Reinhartshofen with then about 50 inhabitants ( Laiber , Rieger and Zirken ) were also added.

Municipal council
The Mickhausen municipal council consists of twelve members. Another member and chairman of the municipal council is the mayor. In the last local election on March 16, 2014 , the turnout was 56.5%. It brought the following result:
- CSU / Independent Community of Voters: 5 seats
- List Münster: 4 seats
- List Grimoldsried: 3 seats

Mayor has been Mirko Kujath ( Free Voters ) since May 1, 2020 ; he was elected on March 15, 2020 with 51.6% of the vote. Its predecessors were
- Anton Müller (CSU / UWG / GH) from 1982 to 2008 and
- Hans Biechele (CSU / UWG / Listen) from 2008 to 2020.
Attractions
- Three-storey four-winged building as Renaissance - Castle of 15-16. Century; around 1695 and renewed renovations around 1842, today houses the municipal administration and is a monument .
- Catholic parish church St. Wolfgang : Anton Fugger had the church built from 1535 to 1538 instead of a demolished palace chapel of Emperor Maximilian I.
- Catholic chapel Herrgottsruh: The chapel Herrgottsruh is located around 300 meters northeast of the parish church of St. Wolfgang on a hill. It was built in 1685 by Paul Fugger ; the design comes from Johann Schmuzer .
- Old farmhouse, second half of the 16th century: Hauptstraße 52, with a listed door frame as a cloverleaf vault around the front door, there is also the completely preserved roof structure with St. Andrew's crosses .
