Jakob Ruppert

Jakob Ruppert (born May 21, 1896 in Eppelheim ; † July 13, 1958 there ) was a German politician ( center , CDU ).

Life

Jakob Ruppert was born the son of a factory supervisor. After attending elementary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith from 1910 to 1913 and then worked in the profession he had learned. From 1915 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . In 1920 he passed the examination as a master locksmith and later ran a steel construction company in Eppelheim. In the 1920s he was president of the Eppelheimer sports club. In 1920 he joined the Center Party, for which he was city ​​councilor in Eppelheim from 1924 to 1933 .

After the National Socialists came to power , Ruppert was briefly taken into “ protective custody ” in 1933 and shortly thereafter a business restriction was imposed on him. After the restriction was lifted in 1936, he joined the German Labor Front and was a member of the National Socialist People's Welfare from 1937 . From 1939 to 1940 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier .

Ruppert joined the CDU after 1945 and was chairman of the CDU district association Heidelberg-Land in the early 1950s. In 1946 he was a member of the state constituent assembly for Württemberg-Baden and was subsequently a member of the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden until 1952 . From 1952 to 1953 he was a member of the state constitutional assembly and then a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg until his death . Otto Hoog moved up for him in parliament.
