Jakob Schöpf
Jakob Schöpf (* 1665 ; † 1715 ) from Stadtamhof near Regensburg was an art carpenter and sculptor from the Baroque period .
Works by Jakob Schöpf are:
- Antependia of the side altars in the Church of Sankt Veit in Straubing (1703)
- High altar of the Benedictine collegiate church of Niederaltaich monastery (1703)
- High altar of the monastery church of Metten Monastery (1712/13)
- Altar of the church on the Eixlberg (1712/13)
- Cabinets of the monastery library in Metten possibly also by Schöpf (1720/22)
Better known than Jakob Schöpf are his son Johann Adam Schöpf (1702–1772), court painter from the Electorate of Cologne, and his son Johann Nepomuk Schöpf (1733–1798), Bavarian court painter and member of the Munich Academy.
