Jamath Shoffner (born July 10, 1978 in Greensboro , North Carolina ) is an American former soccer player and current soccer coach. Since the 2016/2017 season he has been assistant coach of the Luxembourg national team under Luc Holtz .

Career

After various youth teams and graduating from college in the USA , Shoffner moved to the Irish club FC Shelbourne in 2001 and in 2002 to the then German regional league team Borussia Neunkirchen . From 2003 to 2006 he returned to his homeland and played for the Virginia Beach Mariners . After a year break he went back to the lower class SV Weil 1910 in Germany in 2007. In 2008 he joined the Luxembourg first division club Avenir Beggen , making him the first American to ever play in the national division. After just one season again, Shoffner moved to league rivals UN Käerjéng ​​97 and returned to Avenir Beggen during the 2010/2011 winter break, where he ended his active career on June 30, 2011.
