James Kavanagh

James Kavanagh (born June 3, 1914 in Dublin , Ireland , † August 8, 2002 ) was an Irish Roman Catholic priest and auxiliary bishop in Dublin .

Life

James Kavanagh received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Dublin on June 18, 1939 .

On October 4, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Zerta and auxiliary bishop in Dublin. The Archbishop of Dublin, Dermot Ryan , ordained him episcopal on April 8 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Dublin, Patrick Joseph Dunne and Joseph Carroll .

On December 31, 1990, Pope John Paul II accepted James Kavanagh's resignation on grounds of age.
