Patrick Joseph Dunne

Patrick Joseph Dunne (born June 3, 1891 in Dublin , Ireland , † March 16, 1988 ) was an Irish Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Dublin .

Life

Patrick Joseph Dunne was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Dublin on November 1, 1913 .

Pope Pius XII appointed him on August 8, 1946 auxiliary bishop in Dublin and titular bishop of Nara . The Archbishop of Dublin, John Charles McQuaid CSSp , donated him episcopal ordination on October 11 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Ossory , Patrick Collier , and the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin , Thomas Keogh .

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

On October 11, 1979, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
