The Roman Catholic Diocese of Ossory ( Latin Dioecesis Ossoriensis , Irish Deoise Osraí , English Diocese of Ossory ) is in Ireland situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Kilkenny .
history
The diocese of Ossory was established in 549 by Pope Vigilius . In 1152 the Diocese of Ossory was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Dublin as a suffragan . It was part of the Kingdom of Osraige.
