The Roman Catholic Diocese of Down and Connor ( Latin Dioecesis Dunensis et Connorensis , Irish Deoise to Dúin agus Choinnire , English Diocese of Down and Connor ) is in Northern Ireland situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Belfast .

The Diocese of Down and Connor was established as the Diocese of Down in the 6th century . Since 1152 it has been subordinate to the Archdiocese of Armagh as a suffragan . In 1441 it was united with the diocese of Connor.
