Anthony J. Farquhar
Anthony J. Farquhar (born September 6, 1940 in Belfast ) is a Northern Irish clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Down and Connor .
Life
Anthony J. Farquhar was ordained a priest on March 13, 1965 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Down and Connor and titular bishop of Hermiana on April 6, 1983 . The Bishop of Down and Connor, Cahal Brendan Daly , donated him episcopal ordination on May 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were William J. Philbin , Former Bishop of Down and Connor, and Archbishop Gaetano Alibrandi , Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland . Until his retirement as auxiliary bishop he was vicar general of the diocese of Down and Connor.
Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on December 3, 2015.
