James Marshall (artist)

James Marshall ; Stage name: Dalek ; (* May 22, 1968 in New London , Connecticut ) comes from the Brooklyn art scene.

Dalek received his BS (in anthropology and sociology) from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992 , his BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1995, and also studied art and biology. Street art , graffiti culture and television provide him with inspiration . From 2001 to 2002 he was assistant to Takashi Murakami (New York Studio).

His works have been exhibited at London's Apart Gallery , Alife in New York and The Museum of Contemporary Art in Washington DC , among others .
